Fall Tablescape
Halloween Tree
Last year I participated in a Halloween Ornament Exchange with my friend, Sarah, over at Makin' Projiks. She organized the whole thing with bloggers from all over and I wanted to share how I displayed my ornaments this year! Check back over the next few days for more photos of my Fall Decor and a few other changes here at Shabby French Cottage--including more information on how I've joined forces with Kimberly Ann's Petersburg Pickers--an Estate Tag Sale company!

Richmond Celtic Fest 2012
I went to the Celtic Fest again this year! It was at a different location, but just as fun! There, of course, were a plethora of kilts and lots of Celtic Rock and bagpipe music, harp contests, dancing, and the usual. I'm sharing photos from demonstrations of how folks lived in the late 1700s to the mid 1800s--food, iron work, etc!
Spooky Apothecary Mantlescape
As Promised, Here is my Fall Mantel 2012! My collection of Apothecary items inspired this display, and in the middle of decorating it I found (at my new job, may I add) an antique medical degree hand-lettered in Latin on sheepskin! This pulled the whole display together and adds authenticity to the few reproduction items in the display.
Fall & Halloween Inspiration 2012
I went to the Fall Open House at Through The Garden Gate a few weeks back and had to share their wonderful Fall & Halloween decor. Thanks, Pam & Crew for letting me snap all sorts of photos! You will droll over their shabby chic take on Fall and Halloween Decor. It goes to show that a nearly all white palate can work even for seasonal decor.
