Shabby Updates

Spring has Sprung. I took down my Christmas Tree. I know. IT. IS. MAY. What can I say--I've been busy! I finally took my Christmas decor down last week, so I have been tweaking things around the house.

I recently started collecting clear glass paperweights. I have most of them displayed here. This dresser was a birthday present several years ago from my aunt. I LOVE it!

The lovely blue cow block print was a birthday gift this year from a friend, Aimee Joyaux. She is a fabulous artist and photographer. I had it framed, but haven't had a chance to hang it yet!

Here are a few close ups of the vignette on top of the chippy blue dresser. I love to collect little weird things. I corral many of them in vintage silver compotes!

Antique casters, keys, and ceramic insulators are just a few of the goodies I love.

Here is a nice over all shot of my Living Room and Dining Room. Though it may not look like it, I have been paring down. Repeatedly. I really love the monochromatic feel, without actually being monochromatic. Though most of the furniture is painted white or another very pale color, a bit of bleached wood, rusted iron, and a few pops of green and blue really liven up the space.

Here is another view of my Living Room. The trio of mirrors gets many complements. It really is a favorite focal point of mine!

I switched out the pink Depression Glass for seashells in this corner cupboard. I love the natural look of the shells much more than the glass! I hope you have enjoyed this mini-tour of updates around my house! Hugs! Look for updates on my Dining Room soon!
